Other	Age 85 years, 5 months and 1 day. "John Bothwell died Saturday morning and was buried at Sand Creek. He was one of the county's oldest citizens, being 80 years old. He was born in County Moneghan, Ireland, and emigrated to America in 1828; he located in Pennsylvania. In 1832, he married Nancy Laraign in Pittsburg. They lived in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania until 1838, when they moved to Morgan Co., Ind. In 1846, Nancy died, and then he married Mrs. Weathers (Martha Hynds), widow of Richard Weathers and sister of Mrs. Belle Kennedy of this city and of William Hynds, formerly of this county. She died 1 February 1883. He was the father of 12 children, but only 3 remain."
