| Other | Age 88. Son of Johann Heinrich and Agnes Brumback Otterbach/Utterback. Born in Fauquier Co., Va. on Jan. 17, 1754, and there enlisted as an orderly sergeant in 1777. Revolutionary War service as a gunner in the artillery included several southern battles. Received his discharge in 1780 at Hillsboro, N.C. Married on Nov. 15, 1780 in Virginia. Father of: James Benjamin, Mary "Polly", and Nancy. Buried on the Frank Cherry farm not far from Liberty Church, some six miles east of Gosport, Ind. He died in about 1842. |
