The Hammack family was parked along State Road 67 near Centerton; they had stopped because Mrs. Hammack was ill. When Robert Abneys pickup truck hit their car, the Hammack vehicle burst into flames. Mr. Hammacks pregnant wife and his brother Frank were pulled to safety by passing motorists. |
