At the age of 18, she married John W. Brown. In 1849, they moved to Stilesville, Hendricks County. They had 9 children, 4 boys and 5 girls; all lived to be grown and married. All were at her funeral except Mrs. Alice Johnson and Mrs. Belle Woods, who had died.
