He was one of the best known citizens of Monroe Township. His father's family was among the earliest settlers on White Lick; for more than forty years, Mr. Hadley has been one of the foremost citizens of this township. He raised a family of five children, two boys and three girls, all of whom have achieved majority. One of the boys moved to Iowa four years ago; the other followed last fall. One of the daughters is the wife of Mr. B.K. Chambers of this township. The other daughters are still at home." Buried Jan. 20, 1880. |
