Other | Age 88. Born in Pennsylvania in 1781. Married Polly Coryell on June 6, 1804 in Kentucky (in either Bath or Montgomery County.) They moved to Madison Township, Morgan County, Indiana in 1832, with their two sons, Henry and Edgar. (There also may have been three daughters, according to one source.) Owned a farm in Madison Township, east of Mt. Gilead Church. Donated three acres of ground to the Mt. Gilead Church. "Uncle Jimmy" was "a big-boned Highland Scot with red hair and a red beard, and he had a double set of teeth, above and below. (A total of 64 teeth!)" [Source: his great-grandson Solon McNabb.] Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Polly were buried in unmarked graves on the high point of land about twenty rods east of their barn. The knoll where they are buried is probably on the land now owned by Robert Donovan. |
