Other	About 1 P.M. today, Berry Thompson, an inmate at the Poor Asylum, was drowned in the river between the falls and the breakwater, north of town. He, James Walker, and Al Reed were fishing together when he drowned trying to wade across the river...His body was found by William Townsend, about 2 1/2 miles below where he drowned. He was found hanging on a snag, partially in the water.
