| Other | Age 60. Born in Pulaski County, Kentucky, "and was the 5th of 9 children of John and Unia Elizabeth Littlejohn McDaniel, natives of Kentucky, and of Scotch and Irish descent. He came to [Morgan] County in 1852 and lived with an uncle. In 1858, he lived in Missouri and Kansas, and drove cattle across the Plains to Salt Lake City and then drove cattle to California. He then moved back to Indiana, and in April 1862, enlisted in the Civil War: Co H, 33rd Indiana. On 11 January 1866, he married Mary A. Martin, daughter of James and Ellen Martin, and they had 7 children, six sons and a daughter and all are still living." Died at his home in Baker Township of stomach and liver complaint. |
