["Sallie"] Tinney of Hendricks County, [who died] leaving a son, Ralph Jackson, and a daughter, Mrs. Edward [Kate] Thomas. Then, 7 September 1881, he married Miss Henrietta Swearengin, who survives him." Born in Morgan Co., Ind.; son of Armistead and Phoebe Pope Jackson. "In the death of Hamilton Jackson, his daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Thomas, came to Mooresville from Indianapolis and both took sick, from the grippe. Mr. Thomas died and Mrs. Thomas is very sick."
