| Other | Age 70 years, 1 month, and 11 days. Born in Washington Co., Indiana; son of Levi and Elizabeth Craycraft Rinker. Came to Morgan County with his parents in 1830. On Sept. 1, 1840, he married Elizabeth Ann (sic) Griggs; they had 3 sons and 4 daughters. Wife died on Oct. 7, 1855. "At this time, 3 were living, but 4 had preceded her." [Note: Cemetery index gives her name as Lydia Ann; county marriage records also note her name as Lydia Ann, and give marriage date as Sept. 1, 1842.] He then married Lydia E. Johnson, March 25, 1856; she died Feb. 6, 1887. They had 7 children, with 3 still living. He was a pioneer of Morgan County and of Clay Township. Died at the home of his son, Dayton Rinker. |
